The Eagle: Cincinnati, OH

The downtown neighborhoods in Cincinnati have been going through a bit of revival – especially in the OTR (Over The Rhine) section. Old buildings are being renovated and turned into restaurants and bars. With good bars and food, also comes good beer.

The Eagle is a restaurant specializing in comfort food – mainly fried chicken. They actually serve one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I’ve had the pleasure of tasting. They also have a pretty nice beer list. 20+ taps, with bottles and cans. You likely won’t find rarities, but this is a perfect place to relax and have an incredible meal and drink some local beers. Also worth noting that they will sometimes have bourbon specials. I recall being there one time when they had some Pappy Van Winkle pours for $15 each. Not too bad.

Unfortunately they don’t take reservations, but it will be worth the wait.
